Happy New Heliocentric Orbit!

Here is a movie that Google+ compiled of the photographs and videos I took over the past year.  It was made using their “Auto Awesome” feature and I think it’s brilliant.  It’s saved to my G+ page and my YouTube Channel for future reference as well.

The Countdown Has Begun – Here Come’s Christmas!

The weekend has begun!  Looking forward to having a few days down time and using it to plan my vacation which will begin in just four short days.  As I logged off of work today it was strange to think I only have two more “work days” and then I will be on vacation until January.  Excited, stressed, ready – that about sums up my state of mind at the moment.

So, in the holiday spirit I decided to do a quick update to the site to get it ready for Christmas.  It’s sad to say that now my website is more festive and decorated than the house is currently.  However!  The plan is to get a Christmas tree this weekend and it’s pretty much all downhill from there.  Once the tree is up, Christmas and holiday crap just seem to start oozing from the rafters – so BRING IT ON!  I’m very ready for it.

Monday, Bloody Monday!

Or quite simply today could be known as “The day in which I am destined to lose significant blood volume”.

Okay – so it probably isn’t significant but it is annoying.  Seems like everything I do today somehow leads to me bleeding.  Let’s check the tally so far!

  • Nosebleeds due to allergies/sinus issues – 2
  • Cuts – 1
  • Scratching an itch on your leg that results in bleeding – 1

And it’s barely noon, folks. . . . .

Happy Autumn Equinox 2013!

If all works as it should, as of the time of this posting (September 22, 2013 @ 3:44pmCDT) it will officially be Autumn!  If you want a quick read about the how’s and why’s of it all, TimeAndDate.com has a pretty good explanation as does WikiPedia which has quite a bit more information.

This is my absolute favorite time of year!  Most people I know prefer the spring or summer months, but I feel absolutely rejuvenated when that first cool, crisp morning arrives and the leaves are changing.  Living in Texas our cooler weather comes later than for most people and doesn’t stay as long so I have to enjoy it while I can.  Yesterday morning for the first time in months I woke up to it being just 60° outside which prompted me to open the windows once I got home from my morning Starbucks run.

What does this have to do with anything?  Nothing.  I just am happy about it.
